Media City Bergen™ is not a traditional office building. With a massive digital screen on the exterior wall, and the spacious and welcoming atrium within, it is a vibrant meeting place not only for the industry, but also for the people of Bergen. Media City Bergen™ is the hub and the heart of the Norwegian Media Cluster, not only for those located in the Media City building, but for the cluster at large, which, at the last count, comprised over 100 members. In the south tower you will find the brand new cutting edge media lab, as well as a startup lab for entrepreneurship and business development. The new science and media hub is spanning more than 45,000 square meters, and is the workplace of 1,200 people in the media industry. A variety of events are held here, from live broadcasts, seminars, workshops, conferences, tech talks or student pitches.

Entra, one of Norway’s leading real estate companies and an industry leader in developing and managing energy efficient buildings, constructed Media City Bergen™ on behalf of the Norwegian Media Cluster, and Entra is also the building owner. The Cluster Companies are all building tenants.

The building was designed by the architect firm MAD. Together, Entra and MaAD have created a landmark building that stands out as an icon in the city as well as in the global media landscape. The building also has a restaurant and coffee bar that are open to all visitors.
