The University of Agder’s vision is “co-creation of tomorrow’s knowledge” and we accomplish this through close collaboration with regional, national and international partners. We are developing a culture for job creation while working toward the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. Notable recent initiatives are the Battery Research Centre, a new specialization in ocean wind, and CreaTeME, a centre of excellence in education. UiA has 1,400 employees and 13,500 students on two campuses, Kristiansand and Grimstad. UiA offers a broad range of Bachelor, Master and PhD programmes as well as lifelong learning and professional development courses. UiA’s Priority Research Centres are: Intelligent Signal Processing and Wireless Networks (WISENET), Integrated Emergency Management (CIEM), E-health, Artificial Intelligence Research (CAIR), Coastal Research (CCR), Mathematics Education Research Group Agder (MERGA), Lifecourse Nutrition and Top Research Centre Mechatronics (TRCM).
