Roy Tore Lysen Jensen combines his long-standing editorial experience from TV 2 after nearly 20 years in the commercial media house, with a deep understanding of the media industry and media technology as a chairman of the board in the Cluster member organization; Media Region Bergen.
Being able to understand the media business allows Lysen Jensen to work effectively in the area, and pinpoint the challenges the industry is facing. Lysen Jensen will work on identifying and bringing together technologies, companies, projects and researchers to boost and enhance innovation in the Media Cluster, and to help bring innovations and solutions from the Norwegian Media Cluster onto a global stage. Furthermore, he will work closely at the intersection of academia and the industry to identify research opportunities and contribute to the realization of research projects with cluster partners.
– I live and breathe media. When I got the offer to be a part of the Media Cluster team, it was impossible not to jump into it. The Media Cluster is a dream workplace. The organization and my new colleagues are future oriented, very ambitious and initiative driven. They all put great effort in identifying opportunities for the media, the media tech-industry and academia in a broad sense. I feel like I’m playing on my home ground now, Lysen Jensen says.
With Lysen Jensen on board the Media Cluster team will continue to develop our arenas, events, seminars and conferences, bringing the best speakers, coaches, instructors and mentors within media, media tech and innovation methodology to Bergen, with the aim to strengthen knowledge and expertise within the cluster, and to elevate the team's capacity and competency in relevant fields.

He possesses the experience from the media industry, especially the editorial side, which is extremely valuable. We are now directing our activities towards fewer, but visible and very exciting lighthouse projects, where Roy Tore will play a central part.
