NCE Media wins pre-project grant to develop Katapult

NCE Media is granted NOK 200.000 from SIVA to research and explore the foundation for a national Katapult for Industrial Service Development.

Siva has granted NCE Media pre-project funds linked to upcoming Katapult call for proposals.

The application is anchored in the strong competence and the ongoing activities in Norwegian Cognitive Center, a world leading environment with the following partners as key players:

A Katapult run by Norwegian Cognitive Center, will deliver cross-industry applied AI to all Norwegian SMBs through a methodology for onboarding and assessment of business and projects for the use of AI. The Norwegian Cognitive Center deliver facilities and competence in service development, digitalization of value chains, production and product development.

Katapult aims to speed up the journey from idea to market for Norwegian SMB´s. The Katapult Centers offers facilities, equipment, expertise and networks, and makes it easier for innovative companies to prototype, simulate and visualize. The catapult centers receive public support to assist small and medium-sized businesses across the country.

In the pre-project phase NCE Media will investigate a possible collaboration with two other partners in Norway; Protomore in Molde and NCE Smart Energy Markets in Halden.

Call for final proposals are expected fall 2020.
